Anova Global undertakes work in other countries, focusing on key populations: sex workers, gay men and other men who have sex with men, transgender people and intravenous drug users. This work is undertaken in partnership with the EQUIP Consortium and other regional and international partners.
We are looking for Senior highly qualified individual that is willing to travel and to contribute to our international work, primarily across Africa.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Undertake in-depth analytical rapid assessment in-country visits and compile detailed reports
- Oversee and coordinate all in-country activities, including oversight of country-specific financial spend and utilization of resources
- Provide technical assistance and leadership relating to HIV-focused work with key populations
- Develop and refine HIV-related models and interventions to address the 90-90-90 cascade with regard to KPs in diverse cultural and legal environments
Essential qualifications and experience
- A Masters degree in project management, public health or a related qualification
- At least 5 years’ experience addressing HIV among key populations
- At least 5 years’ experience managing a large multi-faceted project, including working with community-based organisations and health authorities
- Excellent command of spoken and written English with public speaking skills
- Experience in conducting training and rolling out PrEP to key populations would be advantageous
- Competent on Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.)
- Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with people at all levels in the organisation
- A valid driver’s license and ability to travel Internationally
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Good communication and report writing skills
